Here is what I would love to share with
everyone who comes here occasionally to visit the news page. In
teaching/learning foreign languages, the cultural component is even more
important than what is related to grammar and vocabulary – to my mind. That is
why I see learning English as a process of cross-cultural communication, when
we try to see events and personalities in other culture through the prism of
our personal experience which is impacted by the culture we belong to very
much.
As I’ve got this morning the VOA News
Headlines in my mailbox as a subscriber, first thing that caught my eye was the
news that "Sunday, February 6, marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of
Ronald Reagan, America's 40th president.”
